What would become Neighborhood Kids initially started as The Little Place and The Little Place Too (1986).


Frank and Olivia Toral acquired the Wellington, FL - based preschools. They rebranded and changed the name to Neighborhood Kids and introduced the WEE. Introduced the Wee Learn (Weekday Early Education) curriculum.


The Torals opened new preschools (#3 and #4) in Boyton Beach, FL.


Franchise Ownership opportunities were made available. Preschool #6 in Lake Worth, FL , opened in the fall. The first franchise owner joined Neighborhood Kids to open four preschools in Wellington, West Palm Beach, and Boynton Beach, FL.
